This Summer we're hanging out in the countryside in the South West of France. Life here is slow-paced and rejuvenating. We shop at farmers markets a couple of times a week (they have scheduled days in each market village on different days of the week), and we go on exploratory drives, and walks. But it's easy for time to slip by, and I always want to make sure we're mindful to punctuate every season with special memories.
So here are some of the activities on our bucket list for this summer in France:
Go wine tasting in the Languedoc
Make a simple dessert from farm fresh market fruit
Go boating on the Canal du Midi
Make a cheese souffle with local Roquefort cheese
Visit the Musee Soulages in Rodez
Eat local oysters by the Mediterranean sea
Find the most authentic Cassoulet in Castelnaudary
Spend an afternoon cycling through the countryside
Drink Champagne and eat homemade Gougères
Explore inside the ancient citadel at Carcassonne
What's on your bucket list this season? I'd love to hear...
