The Museum of Ice Cream started in the summer of 2016 in New York’s Meatpacking district, with a pop-up, interactive art installation. Their second pop-up is currently live in downtown LA's Arts District, and it's a paradise for Instagrammers.
Their mission is to "design environments that bring people together and provoke imagination". With a swimming pool full of sprinkles, a room full of hanging pink bananas, and ice-cream tastings along the way, it's certainly got the potential to spark creativity!
The photos on their Instagram feed are a fun and colorful mash-up of childhood fantasy, kitsch, and retro pop-art. If Andy Warhol was going to re-imagine The Factory into a interactive public exhibit, then this might be it.
