Rosie has really fallen in love with butterflies over the last few weeks. So I did some research and discovered the Bali Butterfly Park. Of course we had to go!
Set in a beautiful tropical garden, Rosie was free to run around and explore.
The tropical gardens were full of brightly colored flowers in bloom.
One enclosure housed thousands of cocoons and newly emerging butterflies...
These butterflies only live for one week. Such a short life, but aren't they beautiful? And so huge!
Another housed some very large insects!
Somehow I was the one who ended up manhandling the huge bugs!
One the way home we stopped off at a roadside food vendor to pick up some Klepon, a delicious Indonesian snack of glutinous rice filled with palm sugar and rolled in coconut.
Such a simple day, and so lovely :-)
