These homemade gift tags are super cute, and are so easy to make that they'd be a fun craft project to do with your kids. I've used classic pom pom colors (green for the tree, red for the reindeer nose, and silver for the snowman) but there's no reason you couldn't use a variety of colors. For example, you could make a series of the Christmas Tree gift tags in a full range of colors... I might actually do that myself next year!
Materials needed: gift tags, glitter pom poms, craft glue, ribbon, star stickers, scissors, and a black sharpie. Note: The tags come with string, but I switched it out for colored ribbon. Either works!
Instructions for the Reindeer: draw the face using a sharpie. I practiced on a piece of paper first, and then went for it on the gift tag. Add a drop of glue, and affix a red glitter pom pom for the nose (for a Rudolf). Other colors would work for other reindeer!
Instructions for the Snowman: Ideally you'd use 2 sizes of silver or white pom poms for this gift tag. Add two drops of glue, and affix the small pom pom above the large pom pom. Draw the arms with a sharpie once the glue has dried.
Instructions for the Christmas Tree: Here you need 3 sizes of green pom poms (although you could make trees in other colors too, if you like). Add 3 drops of glue, and affix the pom poms from small to large. Make sure to leave enough room above the smallest pom pom for the star sticker (on top of the tree). Place the sticker once the glue has dried.
